Bottega Louie is one of my husband and my favorite restaurant patisseries in downtown Los Angeles. It was the heart-fluttering hideaway of one of our first date nights when I made the move from Santa Barbara a few years back. It was love at first sight with its large picture windows filled with colorful macaroon displays and the prettiest packaging. It became a sweet gem we would bring our family and friends to, making it most fitting for our wedding dessert.
I worked closely with Bottega Louie pastry artist James Roselle to design a cake embellished with floral and butterfly appliqué. Isn’t it stunning? In addition to the cake we served assorted pistachio, chocolate, cassis berry, and gluten-free vanilla cupcakes. At the end of the evening, our guests were treated to individually boxed macarons and assorted candies for the shuttle back to town.
