Ever wondered what you can make of the pretty “Flutter Papers” scattered throughout each Flutter Mag? Welcome to our new Flutter Paper Series, where we showcase some simple DIYs using Flutter Paper! In each Flutter Mag, there are at least three special Flutter Papers designed by talented artists – and they’re all perforated, so the magazine can stay safe and sound while you carefully detach each artwork piece. Today, we’ll be showing you how you can make your very own envelope liners with these dreamy sheets.
Things You’ll Need
Envelopes
Envelope liner template
Scissors
Glue Stick
Pencil
In this DIY, we’ll be using three Flutter Papers that can be found in Issues 7, 10, and 12.
Step 1: Cut out your template. Don’t forget to find an envelope liner template that matches the size of your envelope. Since we’re using an A7 envelope, we’re using an A7 envelope liner template.
Step 2: Trace template onto Flutter Paper. Decide where you want to trace your template. Keep in mind that the envelope flap will be the area that will showcase the design the most.
Step 3: Cut along the pencil line. You can erase the pencil marks later.
Step 4: Slip envelope liner into envelope and glue. This is the best part! You can adjust the liner however you’d like. When you’ve found the perfect spot, glue the flap part onto the envelope using a glue stick. It’s not necessary to glue the whole liner down – gluing just the flap part works just fine.
Step 5: Send more snail mail. Voila! These envelope liners are definitely setting our hearts aflutter. After enjoying the work of art you’ve created, send some snail mail to loved ones!
Stay tuned for more Flutter Paper DIYs!
