Each morning you awake to the serene sounds of birds chirping and the softness of the wind sweeping through the trees. Popping open the shutters, the sun splashes the warmth of its golden rays into your room. You take a deep breath. You smile. It’s invigorating. Perhaps you do a happy dance and think to yourself: It really is as good as it gets.
Welcome to Provence! During the May #heartsafluttertour in France, we wandered off to the countryside for an authentic Provencal experience at Domaine Clos Saint Estève.
The private five-and-a-half bedroom provencal farmhouse sits pretty on 17-acres surrounded by fragrant rose and lavender gardens, wildflowers, olive trees, pathways lined with colorful irises and neighboring poppy fields. Located just outside of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue — a charming town famous for its Sunday antique markets — and a short ride from Gordes and the Luberon, this gem was our home for five days.
The hospitality of Clos Saint Estève is phenomenal. From the pre-planning of events to the ease of arrival, the daily assistance and lovely breakfasts, the proprietor Anna and her team made our stay all the more relaxed and memorable. #takeusback!
Each year the property produces a limited batch of estate grown olive oil. They are also in the midst of restoring the 18th century vineyard and cellar that once served the property. Yes please!
Merci beaucoup for the incredible hospitality, Domaine Clos Saint Esteve! Until next time!
