At the 2015 Flutter + Florabundance Design Days Workshop, we had the opportunity to be inspired by the one and only Amy Osaba for The Art of Bouquet Making and Arbor Design. Scroll and swoon over the effortlessly whimsical, punched with color, floral-infused arbor. It’s what dreams are made of!
“Foraging unexpected branches and foliages are one of my favorite things. Upon building the arbor I happened to be walking past this beautiful limb lying on the ground. It would become a perfect anchor to make it look like the arbor had been growing there forever…like the tree and flowers were just growing straight from the ground. We worked with that branch and others to create the feeling that the tree and the arbor were one piece. We like to create moments in large installations so that whoever is seeing it in person gets to notice the little moments of interest throughout, rather than the piece being one big floral explosion. You’ll notice that we didn’t cover the entire structure, which was intentional. This was so fun for us, and we’ve been trying to re-create it ever since!” – Amy
