A Day of Design at Ritz Paris

When in Paris, you Ritz. Oui, chère! You treat yourself to the quintessential tres chic experience at the fashionably iconic hotel. What better way to welcome our guests from the May #Heartsafluttertour to the City of Lights than with an unforgettable afternoon affair in the heart of Place Vendôme?

We had the dream opportunity to take a floral design class with renowned Ritz Paris floral designer Anne Vitchen. After wandering through the luxuriously chic Suite Coco Chanel, we made our to way to the Grand Jardin Terrace for a special design session with Ms. Vitchen and her associate, Agathe. Working with a garden-fresh palette of blush, mint, butter yellow, peach and creme, we discovered the art of arranging a la Ritz Paris.

Each day Anne Vitchen and her team work their way through 5,000 flowers, creating magnificent floral poetry throughout the hotels historic grand corridors. The Dame des fleurs dreams in full color, making hearts flutter with the most exquisite fuschia peony and rose arrangements one has ever seen.

Following the class, our flowering arrangements dressed a table in the Ritz Salon d ’Ete for a delightful lunch complete with a sparkling champagne toast, a green pea velouté first (it tasted like art!), a preserved beef cheek second, and a delicious raspberry cake dessert to finish. Amidst the decadence, we clinked glasses to a dash of Christophe et Fils, Petit Chablis. We’re pretty sure this is the only way ladies should lunch!
