“Let us please our mothers and grandmothers who taught us this tradition of the table art. Knowing that laws and codes of good manners are made to be broken, let’s take these rules and we will be daring thereafter, mixing conventions and originality to give our table a touch of madness!” – Mathilde Carron-Astier de Villatte

In France, dinner parties linger long into the evening. The wine flows, the tables are effortlessly chic, the meal is savored slowly, and the conversations are bustling with delight. It’s an art that should be practiced and enjoyed by all. During the May #heartsafluttertour, we bid France adieu with an alfresco sunset soirée in front of our dream farmhouse. Scroll down to see the magic!
Creative Collaborations
Sitting pretty at each place setting was a lavender letter-pressed packet of French lavender seeds – a design collaboration by Design House of Moira and The Idea Emporium. For dessert, Catherine Pierard of Made in Cake made a buttercream cake in a sand color to represent the old stucco walls seen in Provence. For the finishing touch, Joy Proctor added a garden of flowers growing up the cake. #myheartsaflutter!
