We welcome Spring with our lucky Issue No. 13, and the release of Flutter’s coveted annual Bridal Astrology Guide!

In past years we’ve set your heart aflutter with cakes, cocktails, invitation suites, flowers, tabletop decor, and more based on your sign of the zodiac. While brainstorming about how the stars would guide your style for 2017, we tapped into the elements and drew ideas from admired destinations around the world. Further influenced by a trip to Bali this past September for the Asia Pacific Wedding Masterclass (p. 12), we set out to explore symbolic statements of fashion from twelve different locales (aka Spirit Cities #spiritcity).

As we started to plan, a bigger message came into play. In light of the current division of not just our country, but of the world, it seemed even more important than ever to unify readers through international expression of matrimonial identity. Through thoughtful color, textile, floral, and beauty, we took iconic attributes from twelves cities and added a stylistic twist of our own, blending cultures and fashions, to inspire your wedding style! It’s one of the most beautiful pieces of editorial we’ve created to date. Each look is a work of art in itself, not to mention being captured by the one and only Elizabeth Messina. Swoon! See for yourself on page 35 and find a beautiful takeaway in the middle!

On top of all the starry-eyed, heart fluttering, astrological jazz, we’re also bringing you real weddings from Santa Ynez, California (p. 77), Ojai, California (p. 95), and Montverde, Florida (p. 19). Prepare to host your next party with an incredible selection of cocktail recipes and their darling illustrations (p.s. you can pull them out!). And find a few other flowering inspirations of fun.

This May, I’ll be traveling to France for Flutter’s first ever creative retreat with my dear friend Joy Proctor. Be sure to follow us and our fellow travellers all along the beautiful journey through Paris and Provence. We’ll be sure to share the skinny in a future issue.
