When searching for inspiration for this shoot we were drawn to contrasting concepts like cool and warm, soft and rough, matte and shiny. For example, a concrete vessel detailed with copper paint brought out the irregularities and earthiness of the stone next to the bright metallic sheen. Color played a huge role in inspiring the style as well. We wanted to play with soft hues, but move away from the blush and champagne palette that we often see so much of these days. We focused around the dusty blue hue to soften up some of the darker tones of the ceramic and concrete. This complemented the metallic hints of copper. We also pulled a lot of our inspiration from the venue, The Goodland — a modern, boho-styled Kimpton Hotel in Santa Barbara, California. Finally, CocoRose Design added a tropical island-influence of blooms mixed with festive mini pineapples and ferns. Aloha fun!
