The Together Dinner

We’re thrilled to share with you a guest post from Arkansas floral + event designer Jessica Zimmerman. Jessica recently hosted an intimate gathering designed to bring together and inspire creative women business owners. Scroll and swoon over her sweet tablescape, gorgeous cascading greenery and serious girl power.

In an industry where it is so easy to compare and compete with one another, I wanted to host an event that was completely about encouragement and support. I decided to call this event the Together Dinner; a celebration of community and empowerment. I had the privilege of hosting a gathering of some of Arkansas’s most talented women in the creative business industry. So often we are busy producing beautiful events for others and I really wanted for each of my guests to experience a beautiful setting that was created simply for them to enjoy. I decided to use lots of flowy greenery and a muted color palette of white, cream and blush to achieve the simplistic beauty I envisioned. I wanted my guests to have a chance to mix and mingle with other women who experience the same joys, struggles, victories, and losses that come with the work we give our lives to everyday.

I was honored to have Shanna Skidmore, a business consultant out of Atlanta, Georgia be in attendance and share a few words of encouragement and wisdom with each of us. I also loved being able to send my guests home with their own copy of Flutter Magazine + Cottage Hill Magazine!
